I watched 2 days in New York because of Julia Delphy. With a different US guy, the magic is different. I like the Frenchness of the movie and it builds my appetite for 'before midnight'. Apart from comparing before sunrise, before sunset with before midnight. I would love to compare before midnight with 2 days in New York from a female angle.

When suspect=killer

Noam Chomsky pointed out the changing fact of US foreign policy that suspect being seen as killer without proper trial in Bin laden's case. Same goes for the suspected rapists in Indian. They may have committed a horrible crime but they are suspects before the law. Without proper safeguard of process, there would be no guarantee of safety for everyone. Judges may not be wise guys and they can misjudge but the system is what we trust, not people. I felt this more strongly after watching Les Miserable.and yes we are all sinners before God.

YouTube schooling

When I was in University, I knew about big names but could not see them. But with Internet and YouTube in particular, I can listen to Derrida speaking on deconstruction,Chomsky on language. I am very elated. Those theories and concepts seem more real to me now than ever.

今日遊行聽到最多粗口，現在的特首，連尊重也鸁不到，我不表達立塲，我怕會對不起自己，也對不起歷史；剛愎自用、任人唯親，大話說得多大也面不紅耳不赤，沒自知之明，，這是我們想見的領袖質素嗎？這樣的特首令我的假期變了遊行日。我尊重其他人支持CY,如果他們還能想得出合理理由。而反對的人要克制，免無辜被污名化，那也是一種政冶智慧。
