" The professional man is in essence one who provides service. But the service he renders is something more than that of the laborer, even the skilled laborer. It is a service that wells up from the entire complex of his personality. True, some specialized and highly developed techniques may be included, but their mode of expression is given its deepest meaning by the personality of the practitioner. In a very real sense his professional service cannot be separate from his personal being. He has no goods to sell, no land to till; his only asset is himself. It turns out that there is no right price for service, for what is a share of a man worth? If he does not contain the quality of integrity, he is worthless. If he does, he is priceless. The value is either nothing of it is infinite. "
" So do not try to set a price on yourselves. Do not measure out your professional services on a apothecary's scale and say, “Only this for so much”. Do not debase yourselves by equating your souls to what they will bring in the market. Do not be a miser, hoarding your talents and abilities and knowledge, either among yourselves or in your dealings with your clients, patients, or flock. Rather be reckless and spendthrift, pouring out your talent to all to whom it can be of service! Throw it away, waste it; and in the spending it can be of service. Do not keep a watchful eye lest you slip and give away a little bit of what you might have sold. Do not censor your thoughts to gain a wider audience. Like love, talent is useful only in its expenditure, and it is never exhausted. Certain it is that man must eat, so set what price you must on your service. But never confuse the performance, which is great, with the compensation, be it money, power, or fame, which is trivial. " Essays from the heart by Dr J Willis Hurst

Frente & Fool's garden

After listening to my friend playing frente's bizarre love triangle on youtube, I searched that CD in my drawer. I have not listened to it for a long time. Also, suddenly wanted to listen to Lemon Tree. There are so many animations of lemon tree, amazing!!!

recent discussions

I received so many emails about recent discussions of 情色版. They reminded me of:

John 8:2-11
2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, [a] where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
11 "No one, sir," she said.
"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

No offence to anyone, just think that we really have to seriously read the bible

Pop bites

stopped by Pop Bites on the way home, bought chrysanthemum cake, smooth & not too sweet. Got an artmap 05, 2007 from the shop that lists out cultural activties in the town.

Suzuki cafe company

sing with me...

Love was when,he 1ives,Spirit song,動力信望愛等,好懷念與人一起唱那些詩歌,beautifu1 songs indeed 仲可以培養靈性.

Connie看'Mr.Bean's holiday'及少部份'門徒',還跟鳳萍看'蜘蛛俠3'(Both of us特別鳴謝朱氏伉儷),可能因為Mary Jane與蜘蛛俠一吻定情,所以我比較喜歡第一集,而且人物關係比較緊密,tension多D. King Kong.

Mural

Not Zero and I painted a wall. First attempt in my life. I loved those tullips. We used lot of energy to have the wall painted. That's why I asked Connie (friend & organiser) for the photo to be put in my blog as a rememberance

Painting

Last Sunday suddenly wanted to paint, I bought water colour and had my first painting with my mum watching. She said that I never paint. Yeah, strange, I really wanted to do it that day. very raw and amatuer painting but it summarises my impression of the trip

Movie: The notebook

My movie marathon continues, just watched THE NOTEBOOK DVD

The Plot: A romantic and sweet film, the notebook written by the wife who later got dementia documenting the love she experienced so deeply. The husband reads the notebook to the dementia wife hoping miracle will bring her back to him

Passonate love in their youth
Steadfast love when they get old
Died hand in hand together after all

The heart is on fire, the mind is clear
Love brings miracle
Back to love in the hands of God

How sweet for those who love and to be loved
Do blame me for my indulgence in romance
I am proud that I still believe in true love

Sorry guys becoming very poetic lately!!!!

Itin

This trip to Australia was mainly for attending Margaret's wedding. However, to make the best out of the trip, I did other things.

Day 1 arrived Melbourne Had a quick look of the city centre, went to famous vietnamese PHO YUNG 208 Victoria Street to taste Vietnamese traditional beef noodle

Day 2 attended church wedding in malvern, walked down High Street and had lunch there, really great weather, lots of sunshine, Dressed nicely and walked down a street with fashionable shops on both sides remnding me of scene in 'pretty women' hahaha!!!! I will never able to dress well and leisurely walked in any street in HK with fresh air & sunshine
Joined Banquet in Royce Hotel. Danced a bit & Ate a lot. Our table was full of laughters, thanks to Mrs. Chu

Day 3 Visited 4 vineyard: Rothschild, Domain Chandon, Run rabbit run & Yerring, drank a glass of champagne & a glass of chardonnay, sipped diff. wines (sparking/dessert wine/Pinot Noir/Shiraz). Domain Chandon has a nice vineyard with beautiful trees & roses around. Run rabbit run has a nostalgia feel. I took lots of black and white photos there

Day 4 Jogging at Melbourne Yarra River bank, Had full breakfast with Mrs. Chu & Mrs. Chu's mum, Departed Melbounre, Andrew & Margaret kindly took us to airport. Arrived Brisbane in the evening. Had Seafood at JOJO resataurant, delicious oysters

Day 5 Went to Mt Tamborine in Gold Coast, O'Reily * National Lamington Park where I tasted lamington, nice walk in the rainforest, saw interesting trees & kagaroo. I LOVE TREES Actually I like Moon and stars most. I saw there every night in Brisbane. As there are not many high rise buidlings, I was able to see sunset everyday. Nice dinner at Ecco famous restaurant in town.

Day 6 Tour to Sunshine coast beaches: noolsa & Wooloolaba, beautiful!!! Waves were too strong so not much for swimming
but the sand was extremely soft. Noolsa reminded me of Cannes of France. tasted Japanese food at sachi

Day 7 Back to HK

Concluding my trip:
1. Met cute babies in diff spots & on flights, chatted with people we met on the road
2. In touch with nature, moon, stars, sunset, waves, river, sea, trees, flowers.....
3. Australian guys are quite handsome and nice, except that they are too young for me hahaha handsome ones are only twenty something
4. Drank cups of coffee flat white, capuccino, expresso, flat white again
5. Watched many movies on plane: The pursuit of happiness (Jonathan, I think the plot of this film is a bit too simple), Miss Potter (I love it beacuse I love Peter Rabbit and the romance touched me as well), The Queen (a bit bored, sorrry), Red Diamond (better than I thought), Music and Lyrics (Funny!!! Entertaining even Hugh Grant is a bit old with all that wrinkles), Freedom writers (another good teacher model movie),also watched one or two more that I cannot even remember the names. Non stop movie watching experience hahaha
6. Congratulations again to Margaret and Andrew. thanks for giving me a reason for holiday.

Trip to Australia
