Iphone is a handy tool for finding addresses and locations. The map is very useful. I think Tourism Boards of whatever countries should further develop Apps for tourists. In future when I travel, I do not have to use paper map (usually worn out after a few days).

From sea level to above 2500m sea level

Talked to the Dutch guy about my Yunnan trip and suddenly realised that I have travelled to a place that is below sea level (netherlands) and another place that is above sea level 2500m (Yunnan) in the same year.

地質與文化HK Geological treasures

昨天朋友邀請参加地質與社區文化講座,很大的題目:地質、社區、文化.
講座所提及的香港地理地質,比當年中五課程更有趣,香港不單是中西文化交流之地，地理也'擇'界,可算是geological hub,山形土地多樣化,寒武紀的石香港都有.至於掌故,香港廣東話地名神韻盡納,有趣.
原來参加者很多是本地領隊,比較希望得到立時可用資料.對我來說,文化視野引起好奇及趣味，intangible heritage比tangible heritage更可堪深思回味。

Miffy, Cathy, Kitty

To me, an Asian who is familiar with Hello Kitty. Cathy is more to me a 'Kitty' in a rabbit costume.

To the Dutch, it may be viewed differently.
Of course, Ca 'thy' and Mi'ffy, does share some resemblance.

Anyway, love both Hello Kitty and Miffy but not very sure about 'Cathy'

Buffet - all you can eat (eating less and less)

I went to marriot hotel for tea buffet to celebrate my friend's BD. I did not realise that I ate less lately. Only when my friend pointed it out, i only had 3 plates (not very smart move when having buffet). But the food was good and we had nice chatting.
