Respect artwork

I like to go to museums, but museums have more restrictions now - must use cloakroom/ cannot not bring bottle water because there are people who will ruin artwork simply for the sake of making his/her statement.
This happened to the Rothko's works I saw in Tate. A Russian guy drew on the works with his marker.....
Well... if sb dislike certain artworks, they could create their own using softwares, apps and please do not ruin the real one!!!
