Draw when you are not allowed to draw

Light before Dawn unofficial Chinese art 1974-1985 exhibition ( Asia society Hong Kong Gallery)
When expressions are controlled and drawings can only be official, there are people who keep their passion for drawing. they show the hidden power of the powerless!Exercising freedom to draw in public is a proclamation. Despite its contents being approved by main stream, they preserve truth, kindness and beauty in their own ways, Free spirit prevails in the art works. The groups have been marginalized by contemporary Chinese art history. The missing is always the most interesting. The absence speaks more about Truth than the presence, as always.
