Day 1 Souvenir Day
Arrived Changyi Airport in the evening
First stop: China Town (buy Lim Chee Guan BBQ pork)
Second stop: Lau Pa Sat
Third stop: The cookie museum at Esplande Mall
We saw a rat running across the street near Lau Pa Sat
Singapore wor! Anyway, we tried many local food in Lau Pa Sat, not very delicious except for my fish noodle, but Lau Pa Sat must go ma.
Then we proceeded to find the legendary cookies that my aunt wanted so much. She asked me to buy it last time but I could not find out the name of the brand. This time, a deja-vu feeling, I walked by the cafe last time but did not know this was it.
In the cafe 'Cookie museum', we were being treated like queens or countesses. It is a cookie tasting experience, somewhat like degustation. Small bits of cookes are put in numerous jars and the waitress pushes the trolley to your front and gracefully takes you to a cookie tasting journey. The place did not allow photography. I could only indulge in my memory of the whole thing.
They served us cold refreshing fruit tea for free. The cookies are comparatively expensive but they are all handmade with no eggs and low sugar. It may not be the type we are familar with but when you will remember the smell once you open the can of cookies. The smell of fruit enchants you and it brings good memory.
