Courage to be

Our world is too small
We do not understand something that we cannot imagine
Uttering hollow words
Yet pretend to have a voice in everything

Our world is too limited
We do not allow exceptions
Living in an entrapped world
Yet pretend to have choices

Our world is too simple
We do not think more than we can understand
Embracing the shadow
Yet pretend to be a ‘know it all’

We shout We complain
We know not where to find answers
Deep down, we lack
the courage to be
