Tadao Ando

A quote from him

Architecture is deemed complete only upon the intervention of the human that expereinces it. In other words, architectural space becomes alive only in correspondence with the human who perceives it, link by living things, plants, waters, flowers, people

Its the same story as love. Love only exists if you can experience it. Architecture is not an end in itself, otherwise, its called a scuplture. The fine line between architecture and a sculpture is that a sculpture is an end in itself, but architecture is built to serve an end - which is, to be utilized.

A very practical view of architecture la.
I have a more organic view of architecture, an interactive understanding of people and space.
