Watched Angels and demons on Sat in cinema
Watched Da Vinci Code on sun at home
Don't understand why the film Da Vinci code was so popular...

What I remembered:
1. Da vinci code:
Prof. Langdon was almost drowned in the well. I had similar experinece when I was in Primary 4. I fell into a pond. A non swimmer like me survived and I did pray like Prof. Langdon in the movie.
God, to me, is really real.

2. Angels and Demons
Why did he wear a Mickey watch? a Professor? A grown up? What is the meaning of doing so?

Da vinci code is more complicated as it contains more references to symbols. And Angels and demons as a film is more easy to digest.

Don't knwo why, I thought these 2 films remind me of an intellectual twist of Hollywood James Bond.

Endless cooking

Seafood stew

This tasted like lobster bisque, yummy. I was planning to cook bouillabaisse but I did not have enough ingredients. So I settled for a modified receipe:
Prawns, Scallops, link fish, paprika, tomato paste and fish stock.

事情要認真做

朋友知道我喜歡咖啡,給我品味咖啡電視節目全９集錄影,我很快看完全部,領悟了一個道理:
事情要認真做,認真做就會喜歡

遠處飄來的小提琴聲

深圳街頭,聽到熟識的旋律...
忘不了的,年月也不會蠶食,心深深處始終會記憶某年某夕...
走調的小提琴音沒有影響它的重要性.

沈默的大多數

電視出現雪花一個多月,向管理處查詢有沒有其他住戶有同一問題,答案是沒有,派人來檢查,更指我的電視機壞了,我怎也不能相信這個結論,因為我的Hanspree Monitor播放電視時也有雪花.多番折騰,發現是大廈放大器壞了,還壞了一個多月,最令我震驚是在我住所以上各樓層三＋多户人家一直沈默,令我更深明白對應該發聲的事情沈默,其實是很可怕的.

後記:這電視風波促使我提早進入高清年代,本來想到2012不換不可才換,朋友幫忙買機頂盒,省了我不少功夫,感激.

吃飯的意義

昨天跟認識了二十多年的朋友吃飯,他以為我會帶他到特別地方吃飯,因為從blog內容來看,我對吃很有要求.
其實我一個人吃的時候,會吃好一點,所指的'好'包括食物和環境,不想一個人,隨便吃,愈吃愈淒涼.但與家人朋友吃,又是另一回事,交流傾談是重點,食物太差當然破壞氣氛,但相聚嘛...看到的是人,不是食物.由於本人太愛為食物拍照,朋友用餐前,總細心地讓我先拍照.他們為成全我,忍耐口腹之樂,確令我感動.

對象與想像

食物是我喜歡的攝影對象,食物帶給我很多聯想,這樣的早餐組合令我想起卡通星仔走天涯(my favorite)youtube有主題曲聽,圓又硬的麵包,玻璃牛奶樽,最基本又最温暖.想深一層,卡通很早已幫助了我們理解世界.

從蘇聯到俄羅斯,仍有vodka

曾去俄羅斯聖彼得堡,印象深刻.早前有消息去俄羅斯免簽証,興起我重遊之念.
至於俄羅斯食品,我立即想起魚子醬,黑得透亮,有點像黑貓的眼晴和像謎一樣的水晶球.
早知香港有俄羅斯餐廳,有Vodka bar,讓客人穿皮草在-20 C暢飲vodka,很酷,但我未去過.昨天和朋友路過諾士佛臺,被異國風情吸了進去,適逢餐廳推出叫餐送house vodka,我試了幾口,實在太像喝藥用酒精,我跟友人打趣,這可能可以預防H1N1.

TV program on travel

Watched Michael Palin's New Europe http://www.palinstravels.co.uk/ the other day and I love the program. I have been to Hungary but this program showed me sth more than what I actually saw there.

Also, I know about Kiev in Ukarine. In EARTH LIVE,it shows Kiev. But through the program, more information about history and its people was given -orange revolution http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_Revolution, about their beautiful prime minister http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yulia_Tymoshenko, and why some of the people live in nostalgia - the Soviet Union Days.

And Michael Palin, as told by my boss, is an educated comedian - an intellectual from Oxford who joined entertainment business.

From a distance

I was waiting for my friend at a convenience store in Wanchai at 6.30. From a distance, I saw sth unusal about the hotel on the opposite side of the road. There was police car and restricted access to hotel. Immediately I thought that may be because of H1N1. My friend Mr. Chan crossed the road and I asked if he noticed that there were people with masks around him when he walked past the hotel entrance. Of course he did not notice. And before people rang me, I knew that there was a confirmed case in HK. Later I knew that a Mexican tourist arrived yesterday was hospitalised. The hotel staff and occupants were not allowed to go out. Actually Mr. Chan, Connie and I were planning to go to the Italian restaurant next to that conveniewnce store for dinner tonite. I found that restaurant a bit expensive and changed place at last moment.

Cookbook Gallery

Apart from doing some laundry, I used some time to tidy up my bookselves. I have lots of books. And I was not surprised to see that many of thems are cookbooks. I love cookbooks, though I may not follow every single receipe. Simply by reading them, I feel happy.

Be good to yourself

At the time of panendemic, we should be good to ourselves!
* Sleep well
* Eat a nice/comforting breakfast (my combo: HK style milk tea,sweet and smooth; peanut sauce made in Taiwan, unlike peanut butter. No butter inside, only peanut, salt and sugar; Panash soft bread, glutinous texture)
* Listen to Eason Chan's new album. One of the songs is called doing one thing in a day, that is to feel loved.
* Dance a bit, listen to your body parts, let them move freely with the music. That reminded me of my drama training (relaxation exercise) when I was young. SO..feeling young!
That's what I do on a holiday morning.
